THE COUP - 4080 MAGAZINE 1994 - Men's Classic T-Shirt

The icons are here!! THE COUP - 4080 MAGAZINE 1994 - Men's Classic T-Shirt is now ready for your Hip Hop wardrobe.

This design of the 4080 magazine cover is from 1994. It may have been the first national publication to prominently feature The Coup, who at that time were Boots Riley, DJ Pam the Funkstress, and E-Roc. This was around the time of Genocide and Juice, their classic second album for Wild Pitch. G-Funk era was in full swing and here was this revolutionary, radical Bay Area hip-hop group with a female DJ, coming up with a completely different narrative -- one that was politically, socially, economically, and culturally conscious -- but still funky. It was that Oakland funk, that Black Panther funk in true hip-hop. Special thanks to Boots Riley, Scott Gordan & Eric Arnold for making this happen and bringing THE COUP - 4080 MAGAZINE 1994 - Men's classic t-shirt.
