Pam’s GoFundMe campaign has been established to help offset the exorbitant medical expenses from her prolonged hospitalization.
Pam grew up on the Peninsula and went to Burlingame High School. She was known for her work with the Oakland hip-hop outfit, The Coup, which was led by rapper Boots Riley.
Purple Pam is a music trailblazer, who is one of the first females in the West Coast hip-hop culture.Her talent was recognized by the legendary artist, Prince, who asked Pam to DJ for him on his last tour before his death in 2016.
