Bringing People and Music Together to Make a Difference
Pam the Funkstress - Needs our help
Pam Warren aka PurplePam recently underwent emergency surgery. A GoFundMe account has been established to help offset the growing medical expenses for her prolonged critical care stay and her road to recovery. Pam grew up on the Peninsula and went to Burlingame High School, was best known for her work with the Oakland hip-hop outfit The Coup, which was led by rapper Boots Riley. Purple Pam is a music trailblazer, who ranked among the first female DJs in hip-hop. Her talent was recognized by none other than Prince, who called upon Warren to DJ for him non tour before his death in 2016.
The music community is currently planning a series of events to raise funds and we will update this page with updates on Pam’s progress and fundraising events. Your donation of any denomination is greatly appreciated (click above).
