The Bay Area is known for having some of the best DJs in the industry and who continue to be industry influencers. They are passionate about rocking the airwaves and clubs as they are about giving back to the community. Former A & R Director, Radio programmer & DJ pioneer Alex Mejia, one of the original KMEL All-Star DJs, described the DJ line-up as ‘some of the Bay Area’s greatest DJs the elite of the elite who did not hesitate to step up for the benefit. What a line up!! Party-goers danced, ate tri-tip tacos and sandwiches, enjoyed cool drinks, and picked up great deals in the charity auction. All funds collected go to charity and this is only possible by the philanthropic spirit of the venue owner, talent and sponsors. Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area serves children with life-threatening medical conditions by granting them a wish for them and their family. The organization is compelled to be creative and exceed the expectations of every wish. In 2016 Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area celebrates 34 years fulfilling magical wishes. Anyone can suggest a child for a wish. For more information or to refer a child for a wish call 415-902-9874.
‘This was an epic event, where people who love music and love to dance can came together for a good cause,” said Mejia. “It’s all about assembling a great team of people who happen to be DJs and artists who want to make a difference by playing music and celebrating life, all to raise funds for the Make-A-Wish of the Greater Bay Area, which is devoted to making a child’s wish come true”.
We look forward to growing this event next next year and it's only possible with the help from The Saddle Rack and the supports from The Bay Area. Save the date September 2, 2018 as this event will sell out in advance next year!!
